In 2024, the Montgomery Philharmonic established MPOW (Montgomery Philharmonic Orchestra Worksop). MPOW gives middle school students in Montgomery County Public Schools an opportunity to learn how to play in a full Symphony Orchestra with a program that includes two workshop, rehearsals and a fantastic concert. Students sit side-by-side with Montgomery Philharmonic members in a collegial setting and are coached throughout the workshop. The concert is a culmination of the workshop and students take new skills and a leadership mindset about orchestra playing back to their school programs.
We are happy that you are interested in performing with the Montgomery Philharmonic. We know that this event will help you play much better and give the unique experience of playing in a full orchestra. Please be sure to calendar the rehearsal and performance dates and make sure that you know the music before the first rehearsal.
Event Address: Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church – 610 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg MD 20877
