Volunteer with the Montgomery Philharmonic

Publicity

Publicity is essential to audience building. The Montgomery Philharmonic uses social media (FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram), send press releases to local media outlets, and members post our posters and concert cards throughout the community. The Montgomery Philharmonic needs a volunteer to help with writing press releases and posting on social media, with an emphasis on engagement of communities of color. If you are a person who loves to write and is social media savvy, we’d love to have you as a volunteer to help us build our audience. Please email us at info@montgomeryphilharmonic.org.

Board

Board members come from both the orchestra and the community. This makes for vibrant leadership of our orchestra. Our founders wisely created by-laws that require us to have at least 1/3 of our board made up of community members. If you love music and being involved in a leadership position with a great community-based organization, please email us at vicepresident@montgomeryphilharmonic.org to join our board of directors.

Concert Set-Up

Each we play requires a crew of folks who help us set up chairs, stands, and other equipment. We also need people passing out programs and greeting our patrons. Lots of hands make easy work. If you’d like to help us on concert days, please email us at info@montgomeryphilharmonic.org.
